A Dutch woman and her friend were allegedly kidnapped, tortured and gang-raped after travelling to Pakistan to meet a group of crypto investors.

The 35-year-old woman from Zaanstad claimed she had travelled to the South Asian country at the invitation of the grandson of a top politician, who promised her networking opportunities with investors for her company. 

He has since been arrested alongside three other suspects, according to Dutch media. 

The women claimed they arrived in Pakistan on June 26, and were picked up in the airport by the politician's grandson, who allegedly supplied them with the necessary visas to visit the country. 

After a few days in Islamabad, the women said they were driven to an abandoned house in Lahore, Pakistan's second-largest city, on the border with India.

There, the woman alleged that they were repeatedly raped, beaten and threatened that their organs would be sold if a ransom was not paid, according to a report in De Telegraaf.

'After 15 minutes, four men came in aggressively with guns and ropes and tied me up with my hands behind my back. They screamed and beat me and my girlfriend,' the Dutch woman said in a statement shared by the newspaper.

The politician's grandson pretended to be a victim, she alleged.

'After hitting me for a few minutes, they said they wanted money. First they asked for 200,000 dollars, then 700,000, then a million, up to two million. I said I had no money. But he insisted, otherwise he would kill me,' the statement said.

The women alleged they were subsequently held captive in the house. 

'I was in a bedroom downstairs. A man with a gun was constantly touching my body. I had to send a voice message to my family to ask for money. Fortunately, we had already agreed on a code word in case I got into danger,' the statement said.

'They called the police right away. After that, I also sent voice messages to my friends with the same code word. That way, everyone knew we weren't safe. My hands were tied behind my back for the first twelve hours. If I had to go to the toilet, they pulled my pants down for me.'

According to De Telegraaf, the men allegedly transferred $17,000 via the Dutch woman's phone to their crypto wallet. 

The serious threats persisted, and the criminals continued to demand more money, the woman claimed.

The rapes also continued, she alleged, accompanied by gruesome threats.

Eventually, the women were told enough money had been paid.

The politician's grandson allegedly began driving them to the airport, but crashed into the car in front of him, giving the women the chance to escape the vehicle.

They didn't trust that they were actually being driven to the airport and were eager to run away.

'We ran screaming into a garage. My friend had grabbed our passports and I our mobile phones,' the woman claimed.

She called her parents, so they could alert the police again, but then a traffic officer arrived at the scene.

'He called the right people. The police arrived and we got into their car screaming, begging them to take us to the airport,' the woman said.

While the officer attempted to calm the women down, the friends struggled to trust the situation, and proceeded to jump out of the police car.

A female police officer managed to soothe them, taking them to the police station where their statements were recorded.

Four men, including the grandson, are understood to be in custody, while a fifth is still at large. 

The police said the case is being thoroughly investigated, and that they are also looking into the whereabouts of the stolen cryptocurrency. 

A spokeswoman for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: 'We are providing consular assistance.

'Due to privacy, the ministry cannot comment further on individual cases.'
