A contestant on Four in a Bed was left admitting she was struggling to speak after receiving feedback from their competitors.
During repeat episodes airing on Saturday, August 1, Laura and Claudia welcomed guests to their B&B in Buxton.
The friends and colleagues weren’t impressed by the feedback they received, after their competitors found issues with cleanliness.
A fly on the bed, a “disappointing” leaky plug, dust, and a lack of facilities in the kitchen left Laura and Claudia with low scores, reports Wales Online.
Laura said: “That’s disappointing. It clearly is a competition, people are being super critical.”
Around the payment table, they sought answers, with Welsh hosts Eirlys and Demelza explaining how the lack of privacy in the bathroom due to a window made them “uncomfortable”.
“It’s the first time this issue has occurred, and we’re very sorry that you felt so upset by this,” Claudia said.
As their competitor admitted “I wasn’t happy,” Claudia hit out: “I wasn’t finished speaking. So if you’d called us, we would have been able to situate you in another room.”
Laura added to the camera: “It’s literally never been an issue.”
Ultimately, the duo faced more disappointing news when they were underpaid from all their competitors.
“The cleanliness, if you’d called me, I could have tried and resolved it for you,” Laura told co-stars Grace and Conor.
After an underpayment of over £20, Grace admitted: “On reflection, it does feel harsh but that’s how we were feeling at the time.”
Speaking to the camera, Laura slammed: “I think they’re a bit embarrassed with the payment they’ve given us, I think they regret paying us what they did.”
They also received an underpayment of £60 from Eirlys and Demelza, with Laura fuming: “I’m struggling to talk to you all without getting upset. I expected to be underpaid but not potentially by that much.”
She added: “Am I annoyed? 1000%. Biggest crop of c**p I’ve ever heard in my life.”
As a result of the feedback, Laura and Claudia’s Foxlow Grange came in fourth place, with the pair admitting: “It’s a massive disappointment for us, the nice guys finish last!”
