Xbox users have revived a clever subscription loophole that takes full advantage of the recent Game Pass price drop, allowing players to score 10 months of Ultimate for just £76.96 and save over £92.

While Microsoft's recent decision to slash the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to £16.99 per month was already a massive win for players, deal-hunters (like myself) have quickly realised that the newly improved conversion rates make the beloved EA Play trick better than ever. By stacking the right codes, you can exploit this workaround to bring the effective monthly cost down to just £7.69.

There is one crucial catch before you attempt this: you must not have an active Xbox Game Pass subscription. Whether you are currently on Core, PC, or Ultimate, your membership needs to be fully expired for the loophole to work.

How to buy 10 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for £77

1. Buy three 12-month EA Play gift cards for £19.99 each. You can grab these at Amazon, but note that Amazon limits purchases to one per order to prevent fraudulent activity, meaning you’ll need to make three separate transactions.
2. Redeem your codes. Head over to your Microsoft account redemption page and input all three codes to bank 36 months of EA Play.
3. Buy one month of Game Pass Ultimate. Head to the Xbox store and purchase a single month of Ultimate at the newly reduced £16.99 price point to trigger the conversion.
