Segway has made major strides in the e-bike space recently, but the company isn’t done expanding its electric bicycle lineup just yet.

Following the launches of the Myon commuter e-bike and MUXI cargo bike earlier this year, the company has confirmed to Electrek that it plans to unveil two additional e-bike models before the end of 2026, with both expected to become available in the third quarter. 

While Segway is keeping most of the details under wraps for now, the company did share with us one significant teaser: one of the upcoming models will introduce the next-generation Xyber platform.

Unlike the current Xyber, which blurs the line between e-bike and lightweight electric motorcycle, the new version is being engineered as a street-legal e-bike with selectable Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 operation, where permitted by applicable laws. That should make it far more accessible to riders looking for the Xyber’s futuristic styling and technology in a package that fits within established e-bike regulations. 

According to Segway, the new platform will build on the original Xyber’s distinctive design while adding greater everyday practicality. The company says riders can expect a combination of performance-focused engineering, connected technology, and rider-adjustable functionality, though specifications, pricing, and final availability are still being kept under wraps. 

“The next generation of the Xyber platform reflects how we are continuing to evolve our e-bike
technology,” said Heather Henderson, Segway’s Senior Brand Manager. “It builds on the bold character of the original model while introducing a street-legal option designed to deliver performance, intelligent features, and greater everyday versatility.”

Segway also confirmed that a second all-new e-bike is on the way, though the company isn’t sharing any details about that model just yet.

“We’re excited by the momentum behind Segway’s e-bike business,” said George Lee, Sales Operations Director at Segway. “With two additional e-bike launches planned for 2026, we are continuing to broaden our portfolio and serve a wider range of riders across the U.S. market.”

The announcement continues Segway’s aggressive expansion into the North American e-bike market. After first making headlines with the high-performance Xyber and Xafari models, the company has rapidly broadened its lineup this year with the Myon commuter series and the MUXI short-tail cargo bike.
