For Regional Chancellor Marilyn Wells, education creates opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom. Through partnerships with schools, employers, nonprofit organizations and community leaders, Penn State Brandywine helps students prepare for meaningful futures while strengthening the communities it serves. In the video below, Wells reflects on the transformative power of education, the reciprocal relationship between Penn State Brandywine and its surrounding communities, and the University's land-grant mission of creating opportunity through service and partnership.
In addition to leading Penn State Brandywine, Wells serves as regional chancellor for Penn State Mont Alto and Penn State York. Previously, she served as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and held academic leadership positions at East Stroudsburg University. Wells holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, master's degrees from East Stroudsburg University and a doctoral degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
