SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan has officially completed his mandatory military service, becoming the first member of the 13-member K-pop group to be discharged.
The singer concluded his service on Thursday, June 25, after fulfilling his duties as a public service worker. Jeonghan enlisted on September 26, 2024, and his return marks an important milestone for both the artist and the group as SEVENTEEN continues navigating its military enlistment period.
His discharge is the first among the members, with several others currently serving or preparing to begin their mandatory service in the coming months.
More SEVENTEEN Members Continue Military ServiceWhile Jeonghan has returned, fellow member Wonwoo is currently serving as a public service worker. Hoshi and Woozi are carrying out active-duty military service, while Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino are expected to enlist in the months ahead.
As additional members begin their service, SEVENTEEN is expected to continue group activities with its available lineup while fans await the gradual return of those serving.
Jeonghan's discharge marks the beginning of what will be a lengthy enlistment period for the group, with CARATs looking forward to seeing him resume activities in the future.
CARAT LAND Marked One of the Group's Final Full GatheringsJust days before Jeonghan completed his military service, SEVENTEEN met fans at its annual CARAT LAND fan meeting on June 20 and 21 at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium.
The two-day event also celebrated the group's 10th anniversary and became one of the last opportunities for fans to see many of the members together before additional enlistments begin.
With more members expected to enter military service over the coming years, the fan meeting carried added significance as the group prepares for an extended period of staggered promotions.
V8 Unit Builds Excitement With Upcoming ReleaseMeanwhile, SEVENTEEN's newest unit, V8, featuring THE 8 and Vernon, has already begun teasing its upcoming music.
On June 19, the duo shared a challenge video on SEVENTEEN's official Instagram account, offering fans a preview of singasong, the title track from their first mini-album.
Although the teaser lasted less than 30 seconds, it quickly generated excitement among fans. The upbeat sound of the track, along with THE 8 and Vernon's chemistry in the clip, has heightened anticipation ahead of the unit's official release.
