Today, Girl Scouts of the USA unveiled its new 2027 Girl Scout Cookie lineup, and it includes two brand-new additions: Patch Pals, developed with BARK, and Girl Scout Sparkables, developed with Partake. The new lineup is unexpected in the most delicious way possible. How do I know? I tried them. Well, I didn’t personally test the Patch Pals, but my dog nephew did.

First, let’s dive into those allergy-friendly cookies.

Developed in partnership with Partake, the allergy-friendly baked goods company that parents of kids with food allergies have loved for years, the new Girl Scout Sparkables are crunchy oatmeal cookies filled with chocolate chips and sprinkles. Like the rest of Partake’s cookie lineup, Sparkables are free from the top nine food allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, wheat, milk, soy, fish, shellfish, and sesame. The cookies were inspired by Girl Scouts across the country who have advocated for an expansion of the cookie lineup that meets the diverse needs of their communities.

As a crunchy cookie lover, these were everything I hoped for and more. They were surprisingly flavorful and deeply satisfying. They were packed with chocolatey goodness, and the colorful sprinkles were visually appealing and provided a pleasant added crunch. I would even go as far as to say they are the best new Girl Scout cookies I have tried in probably a decade. Sorry, Exploremores.

Patch Pals are blueberry muffin-flavored dog cookies made with BARK, the company delivering joy directly to dogs’ doorsteps with their BarkBoxes since 2012. Inspired by Girl Scouts’ deep love for their dogs, the treats feature four different “patch” designs that are baked into soft biscuits.

I gave these to my German Shorthaired Pointer nephew, who is a notoriously picky eater. He refuses about 99% of the treats I have given him, but he gobbled these down. I was shocked.
