ARLINGTON, VA. — Jennie Cameron has joined the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) as director of management and engagement.

In this role, she will lead efforts to grow and retain AFIA’s membership, strengthen member relationships and enhance the overall member experience.

Cameron has nearly two decades of experience in the animal health and animal food industries as well as firsthand experience as an active AFIA member. Cameron succeeds Meghan Dicks, who transitioned to director of regulatory affairs following the retirement of Louise Calderwood in August.

“We are excited to welcome Jennie to the AFIA team,” said Megan Provost, chief operating officer of the AFIA. “Jennie brings a valuable combination of industry experience and a genuine understanding of what our members need from their association. Having experienced AFIA firsthand as an engaged member and committee leader, she understands the importance of building strong relationships, listening to our members and continually finding new ways to deliver value. We look forward to having her lead our membership and engagement efforts.”

Cameron joins the AFIA from Phibro Animal Health Corp., where she spent nearly two decades working in business development, product management and strategic customer relationships, most recently serving as a senior account manager. During that time, she was an active AFIA member, serving on the Purchasing and Ingredient Supplier Committee for nine years, including as chair and co-chair.

Her committee involvement and participation in AFIA events provided her with firsthand insight into the association’s member-driven approach and the value it provides to the animal food industry.

In her new role, Cameron will draw on her industry experience and member perspective to strengthen relationships with current and prospective members and advance initiatives that support AFIA’s diverse membership.

Cameron received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Quincy University.
