An adorable little girl is a big hit online after she appeared in a hilarious video in which her cousin'threatened' her with a razor because she got chewing gum stuck in her hair.

Calleigh McKeown, four, makes a dash for freedom after her cousin pops open an electric razor and says she's getting a 'baldy'.

The cute clip, filmed in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, has produced thousands of likes and retweets since it was posted on Twitter.

Calleigh, who started school in August, is seen in the her neat Greenhill Parimary uniform at the start of the clip.

Her cousin, Brendan Thomson, 19, holds up a matted chunk of her long hair and asks: 'What's that?'

Calleigh, with a cheeky smile, defiantly admits it's chewing gum.

Brendan, an apprentice engineer, then tells the girl: 'Well, there's only one solution then - baldy, a one all over.'

He theatrically pops up the part of an electric razor designed for cutting longer hair, causing Calleigh to flinch and step back.

The tot then makes a dash for the door as Brendan gives chase, yelling: 'Come back.'

Calleigh's dad, Ryan, said today: 'She's a funny wee lassie, she's a cracker.

'She knew Brendan was just winding her up, she was laughing her head off.

'We've got hundreds of videos of her messing about and laughing.'

Many social media users reply with crying with laughter emojis and tagging their friends.
