Vulkan 1.4.363 is out as the latest routine update to the Vulkan API specification and also introduces a new Intel vendor extension.

Vulkan 1.4.363 comes with various clarifications to different parts of the spec, several fixes, multi-instance VUs for DMA-BUF external memory in VkMemoryAllocateInfo and VkMemoryGetFdInfoKHR, and then VK_INTEL_device_info as the newest vendor extension from Intel Corp.

The VK_INTEL_device_info extension is just used for reading the graphics intellectual property (IP) block version of the Intel graphics device. The Intel graphics IP version indicates the architecture generation, the release in that generation, and the hardware revision of that release.

Intel introduced this extension since the existing deviceID field for the Intel driver doesn't expose the graphics IP version and so applications/games would need to maintain a manual look-up table correlating device IDs to graphics IP versions/generations.
