Alongside Michael Gove (who gets to cosplay being prime minister at last), politicos including Harriet Harman and Nicola Sturgeon take their places round the cabinet table. Credible commitment to the concept is essential to make the drama elements work, and all manage it reasonably well – particularly the unnamed Potus with Russian sympathies … Phil Harrison

David Olusoga investigates the register of British slave traders, which illuminates the links between the history of modern institutions (including the royal family) and the trade in human misery. Gordon (Patrick Brammall) and Ashley (Harriet Dyer) have split up from their very attractive partners – but that doesn’t mean they’re ready to get back together. In fact, Ashley brings a date to a sex party, which Gordon ends up at too. It unravels into another hilarious night of excruciating events. HR
