Fall Carlisle returns to the Carlisle, PA Fairgrounds on September 30 – October 4 and one of the highlights is the annual Fall Carlisle Collector Car Auction happening next door at the Carlisle Expo Center on October 1-2. Organizers are expecting 400+ consignments with an impressive mix of collector cars, trucks, and plenty of Corvettes from across the spectrum will be offered for sale.

Currently, Carlisle Auctions is displaying a diverse Corvette docket with 18 examples of America’s Favorite Sports Car spread out across the first four generations. The range of Corvettes available stretches from a 1955 Roadster to a highly-decorated 1996 Grand Sport Convertible. We expect to see a few more added as we get closer to Fall Carlisle. We previously shared that the Austin Powers 1965 Corvette movie car will be offered at the sale. Other notable mentions include a 1959 Corvette Fuelie and a Charcoal Metallic 1990 Corvette ZR-1.

Here are three Corvettes that we’ll be watching at the Fall Carlisle Auction:

1955 Corvette VIN 068

This Pennant Blue/Beige 1955 Corvette was an early build, wearing VIN 068 of the 700 Corvettes produced for the model year. The roadster was sold new in Bakersfield, CA and it’s one of just 45 finished in Pennant Blue. The car received a body-off restoration in 2025 and features nearly all of its original components including its engine block and cylinder heads, transmission, differential, body, and chassis. Under the hood is a 265-ci V8—the first V8 offered in a Corvette—mated to a 2-speed automatic transmission.

1967 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible

From the Criswell Collection comes this Marlboro Maroon over White 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible, which also features a white convertible top and black stinger hood. The ’67 Corvette was originally delivered to Rosenthal Chevrolet in Arlington, VA in December 1966 and it has been in the Criswell Collection for over 20 years. The Corvette is powered by a 427/435 Tri-Power V8 engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Inside is a contrasting interior featuring white seats with the rare headrests, white door panels, and black carpet. Mileage reads 47,689.

1996 Corvette Grand Sport Convertible

This 1996 Corvette Grand Sport Convertible no. 289 is nicknamed the “Grand Dad of all Grand Sports” due to its status and documentation. It’s one of only 53 Grand Sport Convertibles to feature the full red interior and one of two certified by the Grand Sport Registry with the adjustable F45 Suspension and spare tire delete. This Grand Sport has earned the highest awards from all major Corvette judging events including NCRS, Bloomington Gold, and MCACN, and it has been displayed at major shows and events across the USA. The car was also used by the NCRS for the advanced judging schools. Currently there are 2,397 miles showing on the odometer.

Fall Carlisle Auction Info

The Fall Carlisle Collector Car Auction runs October 1-2 at the Carlisle Expo Center in Carlisle, PA, and it’s held in conjunction with the Fall Carlisle show at the Carlisle, PA. Fairgrounds.

Auction start time is 10 AM daily and the sale event offers reciprocal admission for buyers, sellers, and spectators between the two Fall Carlisle events. Two popular themed hours return as well! The All-Truck Hour returns for October 1st at approximately 3:00 PM and the 1950 Model Year & Older Hour is scheduled for October 2nd at 3:00 PM.

Carlisle Auctions offers three ways to bid and buy: In person, on the phone, or online. Bidder registration is $100 and it includes access for a guest as well.
