The legal troubles are mounting for Braden Peters, the “manosphere” streamer known online as Clavicular. He now faces felony charges of rape and drugging a person for sex.

Peters, 20, was charged Sept. 8 in Orleans District Court with rape, drugging a person for sex and providing alcohol to someone underage, court records show. The charges stem from an incident on May 23, 2025, and he’s set to be arraigned Oct. 14. He doesn’t appear to have been arrested.

The first two charges are felonies. The rape count carries up to 20 years in prison, and the drugging count carries a mandatory 10-year minimum, up to life. Supplying alcohol to a person under 21 is a misdemeanor.

Peters built his following on “looksmaxxing,” a term for extreme tactics to boost physical attractiveness. He’s hit himself in the face with a hammer so his bones would grow back sharper and taken small amounts of methamphetamine to suppress his appetite. He’s also drawn criticism for using racial slurs on his streams.

The charges follow an April lawsuit from his teen protege, Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza, who alleged Peters had sex with her without consent and injected her with an “unapproved drug” during a livestream at his Cape Cod home when she was 16.

Peters’ rep told The Hollywood Reporter on Monday that he “has not been physically served” and accused The Bulwark, which first reported the charges, of “exaggerating the status of a case to boost traffic.”

After the news broke Monday, Peters posted on X, sharing video of Mendoza calling the injection “fun” and describing him as “super nice,” along with clips in which she said she was 18.

It’s not his first run-in this year. He was arrested and charged with battery in March, hospitalized after a suspected overdose in April, and charged in May after prosecutors alleged he and another streamer shot at an alligator in the Florida Everglades.
