AEW Collision airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TNT and HBO Max from the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Tonight's broadcast will be a tribute to "The Butcher" Andy Williams, who tragically died after he collapsed during an independent wrestling show in Pennsylvania last weekend. All Elite Wrestling will remember and celebrate the life of one of the best people we've ever been blessed to know. Since Andy’s passing, his life has been celebrated by his family, friends, fans and so many more, with stories of his kindness and care for everyone who was lucky enough to know him. 

In AEW and the professional wrestling world, Williams was known as “The Butcher,” of course, but many also knew Andy as the guitarist from Every Time I Die. He stomped into arenas and onto screens with a menacing demeanor and presence that brought fear to all who dared to cross him, belying the sweetness he was known for outside the ring. 

He made his AEW debut in November 2019 and spent much of his time as part of The Butcher and The Blade tag team along with The Bunny. The duo famously faced the Young Bucks in a falls-count-anywhere match at Daily’s Place during the pandemic era in July 2020 which remains one of the most memorable matches in AEW history. The Butcher is the all-time leader in AEW battle royale eliminations with 26, including winning a 15-man battle royale at AEW's first non-televised event, The House Always Wins, in April 2021. While Andy leaves us with plenty of memories from his in-ring career, his impact will forever be felt for the impression he left as a man.

These two great friends and partners are also both eyeing the AEW Women's World Championship, so they’ll put all their cohesive success to the side and meet one-on-one for the very first time. Plus, AEW Women's World Champion Mercedes Moné, who knows both of these potential challengers very well, will be taking in the match from the commentary desk. Aminata and Shirakawa know each other well, so just how far will these two stiff strikers go with their ultimate prize just a glimpse away?
