Detective details video evidence in trial over Drexel Hill teen's killing

A detective testified that blood belonging to 15-year-old Michael Garr was found on clothing worn by the man accused of killing the Upper Darby High School student in Delaware County in 2023.
Lead Detective Robert Marvil told jurors that when officers took Marson Weh into custody, Weh was wearing long johns with blood on them. Marvil testified that laboratory testing later determined the blood belonged to Garr.

Garr’s parents and loved ones cried silently at times during the proceedings. Some left the courtroom when prosecutors showed Garr in the final moments before his death.
Family members remained in the courtroom as Marvil read a passage from a notebook that investigators said was found in a backpack Weh was wearing on the day police located him.
“The first time I ever killed, I stuck a knife in a throat.”
Prosecutors say Garr was stabbed multiple times, including at least once in the throat, severing his trachea.
Rouse asked Garr’s family to refrain from speaking to reporters until after the trial is over. The trial is expected to wrap up by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, members of the community are turning on green lights outside their homes in honor of Garr.
