COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A portion of the westbound lane of Cherry Street in downtown Columbia will be closed on Thursday, the city announced in a Wednesday press release.

The street and north sidewalk between Eight and Ninth streets will close at 7 a.m. as a crane will be used to “to lift a rooftop air conditioning unit onto 29 S. Ninth St.,” the release says.

Work is expected to be completed by 1 p.m.

Detour and no-parking signs will be posted.
