PMK leader Sowmiya Anbumani on Friday said the decision of the party to not extend their support to anyone in the upcoming Assembly bypolls, was due to the refusal of the AIADMK to agree to fielding a common candidate.

Ms. Sowmiya also hoped Gem Granites Veeramani and all those involved in the child sexual abuse case could be brought to book.

“I am unable to understand how violence against children by Gem Granites Veeramani has been going on for so long. All credit to the Judge who ordered a further enquiry. The police investigation has also picked up. Everyone involved should be brought to the book. This has been going on for years and we shouldn’t let any perpetrator go,” she said.
