Nick Cannon is opening his family’s doors to Netflix. The comedian and TV host has an upcoming docuseries that will bring cameras into the homes of his sprawling family, including some mothers who initially questioned exposing themselves and their children to more public attention. The series premieres this winter and follows Cannon’s life as a father of 12 with six women.

“People have been fascinated with my lifestyle for quite some time, so instead of letting them make up stuff, I’m gonna give you everything,” Cannon, 45, told Us Weekly. He described the project as a “raw” and “real” look at an unconventional family that’s willing to be more open and vulnerable.

Cannon shares 15-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey. He and Brittany Bell have sons Golden, 9, and Rise, 4, and daughter Powerful, 5. He shares 5-year-old twins Zion and Zillion and 3-year-old daughter Beautiful with Abby De La Rosa.

Cannon also shares 4-year-old son Legendary with Bre Tiesi and 4-year-old daughter Onyx with LaNisha Cole. He and Alyssa Scott welcomed son Zen in 2021, but Zen died from a rare form of brain cancer at 5 months old. Cannon and Scott also have a 3-year-old daughter, Halo.

Not everyone was immediately on board. Some of the mothers asked, “Why are we letting cameras into our homes?” Cannon said they were comfortable protecting their peace but agreed to participate for him. He said filming prompted challenging conversations that might not have happened without cameras present.

Cannon expects the series to reveal “how there’s so much love there,” but acknowledged that his loved ones didn’t choose his level of public exposure. “So I’m just praying that they all handle it very well because — or to the best of their ability — because it’s going to be a lot,” he said.

Ultimately, he said he wants to hear what viewers think once the series arrives because “there are no secrets and nothing to hide.”
