When you use the option to create a Password Protected Page you, obviously, have the opportunity to select the Password, but the text that appears on the page when opened by a site visitor is not editable. Although the provided text is clear it is not necessarily what the site owner wants to provide to a visitor and I have also seen requests for this to be in a different language.

Before someone states the obvious, yes I know that the text can be edited with a code snippet, either in functions.php, with a child theme or via a code insert plugin, but really, should this be necessary?

Surely, there must be a simple way to provide a means for the text on this page to be an editable item?
