SVN | Second Story Real Estate Management acquired the property management and leasing division of The Raines Group Inc., adding more than 730,000 square feet of retail and office space to its property management portfolio, and three experienced team members to its staff.

The move builds on the firm’s continued growth in Chattanooga over the past decade and brings a well-established portfolio under its management, one shaped over four decades by The Raines Group Inc.

“This milestone ultimately reflects trust,” said Tiffanie Robinson, CEO and founder of SVN | Second Story.

“Bill Raines built a highly respected business over the past 42 years. His decision to transition it to our team says a lot about who we are and how we show up for our clients. We’re honored to carry that forward and welcome their team to our staff.”

The acquisition adds 12 new properties to the company’s property management portfolio. Onboarding of the properties began last month, and the transaction closed on April 30, with full management and brokerage responsibilities transitioning to SVN | Second Story on May 1.

Mr. Raines will continue to own The Raines Group and provide sales and consulting services.

“As I looked at ways to transition the company, my top priority was ensuring my clients and employees had an exceptional place to land,” said Mr. Raines, founder and CEO of The Raines Group Inc. “What stood out to me about Tiffanie’s team was how they work together and collaborate. I saw how seriously they take meeting the needs of clients and their dedication to delivering outstanding service. This made the opportunity an excellent fit for my team."

Jim Fields and Casey Bush will support the SVN | Second Story’s growing property management operations, while Tony Brock joins the brokerage team. The company now employs more than 50 individuals across Tennessee and Georgia.

“As our firm celebrates a decade of success, we continue to find ways to deepen our presence in this market, especially as we look for regional opportunities like this one, to expand our relationship-driven approach to property management,” Ms. Robinson said.
