"HackAtom" Was Held by the Obninsktech Centre

The project block of the international educational program "Summer University 2026" has been completed in UrFU. For the second time, it was held in the format of the "HackAtom" project competition, organized under the auspices of the "Obninsktech" International Scientific and Educational Centre for Nuclear and Related Technologies.

On July 15 and 16, for two days, the students worked on solving an engineering problem in conditions as close as possible to real project activities.

Students from different fields of study combined their knowledge and experience to develop a solution to a single project task in 24 hours. This format allowed the participants not only to apply professional competencies, but also to gain experience in teamwork, role allocation and presentation of results.

A total of 44 teams took part in the competition: 22 defended projects in Russian, and 22 more defended projects in English. The experts assessed not only the quality of the proposed solutions, but also their practical applicability, innovation, and the level of teamwork.

Ten winners will be determined based on the results of the project competition. They will have the opportunity to participate in the winter seasonal school of the Obninsktech project, where they will complete an educational program and visit nuclear industry enterprises.

In addition to working on projects, the participants had lectures and meetings with industry representatives.
