Surveillance video shows burglars raiding Grant Hill liquor store

The owner of Rancho Quality Market and Liquor Store in Grant Hills, who asked to remain anonymous, was stunned after burglars raided his business.
The break-in happened just after 5 a.m. Thursday, according to San Diego Police.
Now, the owner is worried for his safety and the safety of the community. He’s asking for help identifying them.
“When I saw the video, I was shocked,” he said.
Surveillance video shows two burglars in hoodies breaking into his store.
One, wearing an orange safety vest, carried a metal device to try and get inside. Right behind him is the second suspect wearing a black hoodie.
As they both make their way behind the counter, one of them starts grabbing liquor bottles off the shelf.
One camera angle caught the moment the other suspect runs to the back of the store and opens a door before making his way back to the front, calling on the other cashier to grab the cash register.
Another camera shows one of the burglars yanking the cash register out and running outside. Shortly after, the second burglar follows him out with several bottles.
The owner said he’s grateful nobody was hurt or inside the store at the time of the break-in, but he’s also disappointed by what he said is an “unacceptable response time” from police.
He said the alarm company called 911 immediately after notifying him, but officers did not arrive until about an hour and a half later.
“This is not safe for our community. This is unsafe for our family. This is unsafe for our children,” he said.
NBC 7 San Diego reached out to SDPD to ask the reason for the delay in response time and is awaiting a response.
The owner said the store lost about $20,000 worth of liquor bottles, cash, and property damage.
He said he’s offering a reward to anyone who comes forward with information, and he asks anyone who may have seen something to contact the San Diego Police Department.
