The Directorate of Intermediate Education (DIE), Telangana, has intensified efforts to strengthen Government junior colleges through a range of Samagra Shiksha interventions aimed at improving infrastructure, academic resources, student welfare, skill development and inclusive education.

A one-day orientation programme on Samagra Shiksha Funds and the SNA-SPARSH portal was conducted at the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE), Hyderabad, for District Intermediate Education Officers (DIEOs) and Principals to ensure effective implementation, transparent financial management and timely utilisation of grants.

Under Samagra Shiksha, the department has sanctioned ₹2.48 crore as Composite School Grants, ₹1.68 crore for vocational tools and equipment, ₹1.9 crore for toilets in 40 colleges, ₹20 crore for computer rooms in 80 colleges, ₹1.04 crore for sports, ₹41.8 lakh for libraries, and grants for Eco Clubs, drug abuse awareness, and support for Children with Special Needs.

The programme also featured expert sessions on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, highlighting workplace safety, gender sensitivity, institutional accountability, and the creation of safe, inclusive and student-centric educational institutions across the State.
