MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. Washington could push Kiev toward peace, but it lacks political will to do so, political commentator and former employee of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the US State Department Larry Johnson told TASS.

"They certainly can pressure them. I mean, the United States, I think, has the leverage to compel them to do that. But so far, the United States has been unwilling to use that leverage. So that’s the key point - the lack of will," Johnson said.

"Well, they (the Kiev regime - TASS) may not want to make concessions, but really they’ll have no choice, given the realities of their dependence upon Western logistics and Western ammunition," he added.
