MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. The Ukrainian authorities treat the people like concentration camp prisoners and are not concerned about their problems, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik told TASS, expressing his opinion.

"The entire current elite and ruling establishment in Ukraine treats the population exactly the same way as the SS administration of a concentration camp treated its inmates: the elite is not particularly concerned with what kind of gruel they eat. Especially against the backdrop of Vladimir Zelensky’s latest statements that he is not going to hold any elections, and God forbid this population should choose something else - they are going to elect him, right? What kind of nonsense is this? Maybe they will also choose the course they want to take and whether to fight? Or not to fight, right? He is actively demonstrating that this is completely unacceptable to him. So the attitude of the Ukrainian elites is clear. They treat people like cattle that should go and die," the diplomat said.

According to him, the Ukrainian elite is concerned about completely different things. "And they have very serious concerns: how to get money out, how to stash money, how to hide money, how to flee from prosecution by law enforcement agencies later: these are the very serious problems that concern deputies, prime ministers, deputy prime ministers and Zelensky’s entourage today. So it is unlikely that any of them, starting with Zelensky, enter government in order to bring prosperity to Ukraine. No, they are absolutely commercialized people, their thoughts have long been somewhere else: on the French Riviera, in the United Kingdom, in Canada… And preferably, the billions they have managed to accumulate over this time, whether from criminal business or foreign funds they have received, should be nearby," Miroshnik concluded.
