Fans claim an 'absolutely wild' true crime documentary will leave fans glued to their screens and 'questioning everything'.

While The Cult of NatureBoy released earlier this year, it is steadily being discovered by more and more viewers. All episodes of the docuseries are streaming exclusively on Disney+.

According to its synopsis, the four part series focuses on a rising social media star named Eligio Bishop, also known as Nature Boy. He uses his platforms to recruit followers into a group he called Carbon Nation, encouraging them to abandon their families and join his vision.

Many who have watched it so far, admit to not knowing very much about the topic and subject of the series beforehand. However, they also confess that they would not have foreseen the twists that follow ahead of its conclusion.

It was not reviewed widely by critics at the time of its debut and as a result does not hold a rating on website Rotten Tomatoes. However some verdicts that have been published by critics online have called the series 'chilling' and 'ultimately satisfying'.

Several people who have watched it have compared the subject matter and their reactions to Louis Theroux's Manosphere documentary. That also examined the impact of controversial social media influencers.

However viewers admit that The Cult of NatureBoy is much more sinister viewing with some admitting they were gobsmacked over some footage included. One took to social media to share their feelings on the series.

In their post, they declared: "The Cult of Nature Boy is hands down one of the most insane true crime watches I’ve seen in a while."

They continued: "It turns into something way darker, way faster than you expect. And the wildest part? This wasn’t hidden. People were watching in real time. It’s disturbing, frustrating, and honestly kind of mind-blowing. Go watch it. You’ll be glued to your screen and questioning everything."

Someone else posted: "What on earth have I just watched? If you've not seen it yet, Disney+ have brought out a four part documentary and it's called The Cult of NatureBoy. I'm telling you now right, this is one of the most bizarre documentaries I've watched."

However some issued a warning to others before they viewed it for themselves. One person who said: "I need to warn you because some of the things you see on it....It's one of the maddest things I've watched."

While another confessed: "Watching it left me disgusted and enraged the whole time."
