I’d consider myself a budget shopper (I very rarely splurge – only after super thoughtful consideration for weeks/months). So when the NSale drops every year, I immediately head to the under $100 section. And? I’m pretty darn pleased with this year’s budget lineup!!

The team and I have been scouring the Nordstrom Anni sale – both online and in-store to find the absolute best pieces under $100. We’re looking for the jeans, sweaters, tops, dresses and shoes under $100 that are genuinely useful, have quality construction, and are cuuuute. Bonus points for natural materials!

We were all thrilled to find a good amount of 100% cotton sweaters in the NSale, as well as one that’s a merino wool/cotton blend. The usual Levi’s are featured below (they’re always so good), as well as Kut from the Kloth jeans, Wit+Wisdom, and a few new surprises (H&M! Kancan?!). And basically the whole Faherty lineup is worth checking out – it’s one of our favorite brands, and most of their pieces are right around $100.

The one category that’s missing is coats. The coats under $100 were pretty few and far between, and most weren’t worth the cost. 1. Adidas Sprinter Shorts + Taekwondo Mei Ballet Flats + Faherty Stripes

Voted outfit most likely to be worn everyday (by, uh, me) I love how these rugby shirts are so easy to wear with sporty pieces, not just my usual jeans. I bought this shirt in a different colorway a year ago, and have worn it so much I knew it was worth picking up this one on sale. It’s honestly one of my favorite pieces in the sale. (I sized up for a more oversized look.)

2. Free People Frankie Striped Sweater + Levi’s 501s ’90s Jeans + Vionic Mary Jane Flats

These Free People 100% cotton sweaters are great – so bright and fun, and the chunky cotton knit isn’t overly hot. The ripped jeans are Levi’s 501’s – I sized up two sizes to get the slouchy, boyfriend-y fit (I know they’re too long – will cut ‘em).

3. Free People Frankie Sweater + H&M Baggy Jeans + Puma Speedcat Sneakers

This is basically the same style of Free People sweater (and yup – still 100% cotton), but in a pretty, ballet pink. The color combo here is just so fun – these are such happy sneakers, worth keeping just for how they look with white and ivory jeans.

4. Caslon Striped Sweater + Levis Ribcage Jeans + Vionic Slingback Pumps + JW PEI Tote

NOTES: I spotted a Mom Edit reader trying on this sweater in the dressing room and was totally influenced. 😉 I love finding budget-friendly sweaters made from natural fibers, and this one is 55% merino wool/45% cotton. It feels substantial and actually warm… an easy everyday sweater for fall and winter. I also love the pink and burgundy color combo. I sized up for a slouchier fit.

These Levi’s are incredibly soft and lightweight. I sized down for a snugger fit in the waist since they relax with wear. I’m typically a 29, but I’m wearing a 27 here.

SIZING: Size up in the sweater for a slouchier fit. For the jeans, it depends how you want them to fit…I sized down for a more fitted feel.

5. Free People Turtleneck Sweater + Levi’s 501 90s + Sam Edelman Kitten Heels + Madewell Crossbody

I love some really sharp shoes paired with baggy jeans – bonus points for broken-in jeans like these. While I’m wearing Sam Edelman slingbacks in this photo…I also just tried these Sofft slingbacks and they are MUCH more comfortable (yet look almost identical), FWIW. (They’re also featured farther down in this post, too.)

This Free People sweater is an easy win: 100% cotton, with a tighter weave than the chunky knit ones, and a straighter overall shape. It’s great.

6. Nordstrom Textured Ruched Midi Dress + Vionic Stella Slingback Pumps + JW PEI Bag

NOTES: Soft, stretchy, and comfortable, this is a nice budget-friendly dress to have in your closet for those black dress occasions. I like the classic feel, but with the subtle asymmetrical neckline that gives it a little something extra. I’m typically a small, but I’m wearing an XS here. It works thanks to the stretchy fabric, though I’d probably go with my usual small for a little more room and drape.

These Vionics pumps are gorgeous in person and do NOT look like comfort shoes. They have Vionic’s signature arch support (note: which people tend to either love or not).

7. H&M Denim Popover Shirt + KanCan Jeans + Favorite Daughter Tote + Franco Sarto Suede Loafers

One of my favorite outfits from the whole sale! This denim top is 100% cotton, reminds me of a top from a fancy French brand (Sessun), and is currently on sale for $30. Wild. 

These jeans are my favorite jeans in the entire sale, period. I was wearing them the other day and got stopped three times. 

And these cute navy loafers are comfortable right out of the box, no breaking-in required.

This tee looks hilariously different on the models, but I love it as-is. Still 100% cotton (are you sensing a theme with me? haha) and perfectly oversized.

9. Caslon Cotton & Merino Wool Cardigan + Free People Baggy Jeans + Dolce Vita Sneaks

NOTES: This Caslon cardigan was a surprise find (I love when budget-friendly pieces use natural materials). It’s soft, a nice medium weight, and made from 70% pima cotton/30% merino wool. The simple shape makes it easy to wear buttoned up as a top or you can throw it on as an easy layering piece.

These Free People jeans are super comfortable with a built-in slouchy fit. The wash was a little tricky for me to style with the colors I usually wear, but if it works with your wardrobe, they’re a fun pair. And these Dolce Vita sneakers? Very comfortable and designer vibes without the designer price tag.

SIZING: Cardigan fits TTS. Size down in the jeans. Sneakers run small.

10. Madewell Striped Cardigan + KanCan Jeans + Adidas Taekwondo

This little Madewell sweater (100% cotton) is so soft and cute. Fits TTS (so I, of course, sized up for slouch). 

Wearing it with my favorite jeans and ivory crochet sneakers – turns out ivory crochet shoes look cute with EVERYTHING.

11. Halogen Sweater Tank + Levi’s Ribcage Jeans + Vionic Suede Pumps

NOTES: 100% cotton sweater tank felt great on and I love this moss green color. These Levi’s Ribcage jeans are very soft and much lighter weight than many of the other jeans I tried on.  

Note that they have a VERY high waist (as you can see), which is fun for elongating legs. 

SIZING: Top runs TTS and for the jeans I sized down for a better fit in the waist. They are definitely relaxing with wear.

I really liked the seam detail on these jeans, but I think they run a little short, even for petites. To be fair, they’re supposed to be cropped, haha. 🙂

The oxblood sneakers are more comfortable than my Sambas, and I’m suuuuper excited to style the up this fall and winter – they’re going to be perfect.

This kicky little crossbody is so charming (and would be amazing for travel – no pickpockets are getting in there).

I always love a blush pink – oxblood moment, and here’s one with some of the most comfortable, easy pieces. 

These shoes, btw, are mesh. They run big – I had to size down a half size – but they’re surprisingly comfortable, especially given the price.

NOTES: I always love a good stripes-and-denim moment for fall. This Free People henley is soft, stretchy, and just easy to throw on. And these Kut from the Kloth jeans are my favorite budget-friendly pair from the entire sale. They feel amazing on with plenty  of stretch. They’re labeled high-rise and straight-leg, but on me they hit more mid-to-low rise and feel like a wide leg, which I love.

SIZING: Top fits TTS. I always size down in Kut from the Kloth jeans…they run big.

17. Nordstrom Ruched Midi Dress + Söfft Marcella Slingback Flats

This is a fun and easy budget-friendly dress that could easily go dressy or casual. I really like the skirt shape, drape, and the feel of the fabric on the bottom. The fabric of the top part is fine, but wasn’t my favorite part of the dress.

Shana and I both fell in love with these Sofft flats. They come in such pretty colors, have a nice cushiony footbed,and a soft backstrap that is thicker and more comfortable on my foot than some of the non-comfort shoe brands, so yay comfort shoes! 

SIZING: I’m wearing a size 6 in the dress, but wish I’d been able to try my usual size 4. I think it would have been better for my body type to be a little more fitted in the waist and the top. Shoes fit TTS.

18. Rag & Bone Stripe Tee + Madewell Cardigan + Kut From The Kloth Utility Jeans + Vionic Pumps

NOTES: This 100% cotton Madewell cardigan was one of my top picks from the whole sale (in navy). I’ve been hunting for an oversized cotton navy cardigan forever, and they’re surprisingly hard to find. I even tried Jenni Kayne’s $395 cotton Cocoon Cardigan…but I actually like this under $100  one better.

I’m also a huge fan of Rag & Bone’s striped tee. The chocolate stripe is so rich it almost reads black. And these Kut from the Kloth jeans? Still my favorite budget-friendly pair from the sale. They’re super soft with plenty of stretch.
