NORWALK — State police arrested a man after deploying stop sticks to end a pursuit of a pickup truck that Norwalk police were seeking in connection with a suspected larceny and evading a crash, authorities said.

About 5 p.m. Wednesday, Connecticut State Police were notified that Norwalk officers were following a black GMC Sierra that was being sought in connection with a suspected larceny and a motor vehicle crash in which the driver allegedly fled the scene, according to a state police social media post.

Troopers spotted the pickup traveling erratically on Interstate 95 North near Exit 19, where police said the driver was using the right shoulder to pass heavy rush-hour traffic.

Troopers deployed stop sticks near Exit 20, puncturing the vehicle's tires and ultimately bringing it to a stop in the center lane near Exit 25, police said.

The driver, identified as 62-year-old Glenn London, attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody after a brief struggle with troopers, according to police.

London was charged with interfering with an officer, reckless endangerment, evading responsibility involving property damage, reckless driving and engaging police in a pursuit, police said.

He was released on bond and turned over to the Wallingford Police Department on an unrelated arrest warrant, according to state police.
