Xiaomi India has officially confirmed the launch of its latest performance-focused smartphone in India – the REDMI Turbo 5. Scheduled to debut on 16th June 2026, the upcoming smartphone is positioned as a high-performance offering aimed at users seeking flagship-level speed, gaming capabilities, and fast charging technologies.
The company is promoting the smartphone under the tagline, “Fast isn’t just a feature anymore. It’s the default,” highlighting the device’s focus on processing power, memory performance, and overall responsiveness.

One of the biggest highlights of the REDMI Turbo 5 is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra SoC. Built to deliver flagship-grade performance, the chipset is paired with LPDDR5X Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 Storage, enabling faster app launches, improved multitasking, and quicker data transfers.
Xiaomi has also confirmed support for up to 24 GB RAM, including virtual RAM expansion. Depending on the variant, users will be able to utilize up to 12 GB of additional virtual memory to improve multitasking workloads and background app management.
On the front, the REDMI Turbo 5 features an Adaptive 120 Hz Fluid Display with 1.5K Resolution. The display is designed to intelligently adjust refresh rates based on content being viewed, helping balance smooth visual performance with battery efficiency.
The smartphone is also expected to appeal to mobile gamers and power users with its advanced thermal architecture. Xiaomi is expected to equip the device with its latest 3D IceLoop cooling system featuring a large 5,300 mm² vapor chamber cooling solution designed to maintain sustained performance during gaming sessions and demanding workloads.
The smartphone is confirmed to support 100W HyperCharge technology, allowing users to rapidly recharge the device. Reports suggest the REDMI Turbo 5 could feature a large 6,500 mAh battery, providing extended usage times despite its high-performance hardware configuration.
For photography, the REDMI Turbo 5 features a dual rear camera setup headlined by a 50 MP primary camera with both Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The primary camera is accompanied by an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, while the front houses a 20 MP selfie camera for video calls and social media content creation.
The design follows a clean and modern aesthetic with flat edges and a minimalist rear camera arrangement. The dual-camera system is vertically aligned, while red accent rings around the camera modules add a sporty appearance that complements the performance-focused branding. The device is also expected to feature flagship-grade durability credentials, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

The REDMI Turbo 5 will be sold on Amazon.in, Mi.com/in, and authorized offline retail stores across India following its launch. Additional details regarding pricing, storage variants, launch offers, and availability will be announced during the official launch event on 16 June 2026.
