Blaming dating app statistics, sitcom tropes and pop lyrics for a generational crisis of male isolation is a stretch. It converts real, modern challenges into a double standard where men are supposedly forbidden from having standards of their own. This hyper-focus on victimization doesn’t offer men solutions. It gives them an excuse to withdraw from society. Expecting accountability, emotional growth and mutual effort in a relationship isn’t “misandry.” It’s the baseline for adult life. Empowerment for men comes from taking responsibility for their lives and relationships, not from demanding a pass based on cultural grievances.
