FRANKLIN, TENN. — Mars announced the appointment of Varun Kakaria as chief digital and information officer of its Pet Nutrition North America business. 

Kakaria joins Mars from Reckitt, where he served as chief information officer for North America and held a variety of digital leadership roles for 13 years. In addition to his time at Reckitt, Kakaria brings more than 22 years of experience in digital and technology leadership across more than 40 geographies with a track record of supporting the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), data-driven decision-making and global program delivery in complex and multinational environments.

In his new role at Mars Pet Nutrition North America, Varun will help advance Mars’ digital first transformation, driving growth through digital products, data-driven solutions and stronger business partnerships. 

“As pet parents’ expectations continue to evolve around nutrition, health and wellness, digital innovation and data insights are becoming increasingly critical in how we serve this dynamic market,” Mars shared.
