• For Mayor Pro Tem McCoy to state that Longmont’s ethics complaint system was weaponized against him is beyond ridiculous. It has about as much teeth as a time out in the corner. The truth of the matter is that McCoy was found by an independent hearing officer to have violated council ethics. It would be nice if McCoy was man enough to own up to that.

• I’m calling about Councilman Sean McCoy. I think it is really, you know, good for him for having the decency to stand up and apologize. I don’t think he should have had to apologize for anything. The former AAB people are a bunch of … bullies. They should be ashamed of themselves for even asking him to stand up for some sort of made-up ethics BS.

• I find it odd that airport proponents expect Longmont citizens to subsidize their work and hobbies, pay more when they mismanage the airport. Then they want us to dismiss any complaints about noise and they want us to accept the … conduct of their advisory board. Yet the same folks are lecturing us about ethics.

• I believe Councilmember Sean McCoy is a hero to Longmont residents. It’s about time somebody stepped up and pushed back on the airport bullies.

• It’s disappointing Councilman McCoy is not more contrite after being found to have violated the city’s ethics code by attempting to influence the airport manager. It seems he remains defensive, using terms like “weaponizing” and continuing to suggest pilots are targeting him by flying over his home.

I see the CoCo train is going to get $295 million from the sales tax. They’re going to give Longmont back $3.3 million for 25 years. That’s $82.5 million. So we give you $295 million. You give us $82 million back over 25 years. That’s called the Ponzi scheme.

Childcare is essential infrastructure that families in our community depend on. Without it, we can run the risk of losing vital community jobs that we all depend on — nurses, teachers, firefighters. I think we all should remember to support this essential infrastructure.
